We will have our last Detroit DSA General Meeting before the March 10 Michigan primary this Saturday, March 7, 10am-noon at Ant Hall (2320 Caniff, Hamtramck). 

This is a critical meeting. The progressive movement hinges on how well Bernie does in Michigan. We know that Democratic Socialist policies have widespread support and we need to turn out the vote.

We’ll be reviewing and taking the first of two chapter-wide votes on our bylaws. See the current bylaws here and the proposed new ones here.

Following the meeting, we will immediately go out to canvass for Bernie in Detroit, Hamtramck and Highland Park and metro Detroit.

Come to the meeting with a fully charged phone and be dressed for the weather.

Wayne State students and workers: Thursday, 11 am – 3 pm march to the polls and get out the vote on campus.

If you are Muslim, consider joining a Friday canvass at an area mosque. 

If you are an educator, join an Educators for Bernie canvass this Sunday at 10 am in Hamtramck or 4 pm in Dearborn.

Looking ahead to the November 2020 election — if you are a candidate running for office and would like to be considered for endorsement by Detroit DSA, please review our candidate endorsement policy, complete our questionnaire, and return it to us by March 31.
