Dear John,
I'm sure you, like me, are troubled by what is unfolding in the Middle East. Starting with the unspeakable violence and barbarism committed against innocent Israeli civilians, including little babies. This savagery is now being followed by antisemitic lies, propaganda, and protests in cities and campuses here in the United States and around the globe.
While the terrorists and their sympathizers are calling for protests, this past Sunday, FRC led a call for prayer. FRC hosted a special Stand with and Pray for Israel townhall with former Congresswoman and FRC Board Chairwoman Michele Bachmann, Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Jerry Boykin, Chad Connelly of Faith Wins, and Pastor Erik Estep of the Village Church in Blythewood, South Carolina. Thousands of believers joined us in person and through the broadcast as we prayed for Israel and educated believers on what is going on in the Middle East and how to understand these events in light of God's Word. As Michele shared on Sunday night, "the whole world changed on Saturday, October 7" when the terrorist organization Hamas attacked Israel.
Two weeks later, as Israel fights to secure their homeland against future terrorist attacks and rescue an estimated 200 hostages, they have a tremendous challenge ahead of them as they are surrounded by enemies on every side.
Now more than ever, the United States of America needs to uncompromisingly, unflinchingly, and unyieldingly stand with Israel.
Several years ago, Michele and I were part of the first official U.S. congressional group that went into the eastern portion of Israel, or what is called the West Bank--biblical Judea and Samaria. Our goal--to educate and build relationships between our leaders and theirs. But we recognized that Israel needs more than just a political ally.
While we were there, with our feet on the ground, we spent time praying for Israel--and that's what is needed in this hour.
They desperately need the prayers of believers like you and me.
My friend and the former U.S. Ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, also shared a message from his home in Jerusalem at Sunday's townhall, "Never before has Israel needed the help, the support, and the prayers of the evangelical Christian community like they do now."
The time is now. We must stand with Israel and the Jewish people in prayer.

As disturbing as the events taking place in the Middle East are, what's even more troubling are the demonstrations we've seen across America and the world in support of the brutality and of those who are perpetuating that brutality against Israel.
Not only are we seeing pro-Hamas demonstrations on college campuses, but in major cities like New York and London. Even the mainstream media are quick to trust and expand the reach of Hamas's propaganda.
Even the New York Times had to issue an editorial note admitting they should have been more careful to verify their sources after being quick to believe Hamas's false claim that last week's Gaza hospital blast was caused by Israel--when in fact, it was caused by a failed missile fired by the militant group, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, that was meant for Israel!
Stories like this and the fact that many in the media are buying into the propaganda and antisemitism further proves what we at FRC already know--Christians need news from a biblical worldview that they can trust.
Years ago, I began to see the trend of the mainstream media to sideline Christian and conservative voices. That's why I started our daily broadcast, Washington Watch, which is now broadcast on more than 800 radio stations, streamed online, and available on TV across the country.
That's also why FRC started The Washington Stand in the summer of 2022, to provide written news and commentary from a biblical worldview.
As the world gets darker, it is imperative that we reach more people with the truth. Will you partner with us at this critical time in this effort?

John, we know that there is a spiritual battle raging in this world and that "we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places" (Eph. 6:12).
There is no doubt that what's happening in the Middle East is a spiritual battle and we as the church must stand up.
As God said in Genesis 12 about Israel, "I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you. And in you all the nations of the earth will be blessed."
That promise from God did not have an expiration date--it is still a promise today and we must stand firm on God's promises.
Thank you for joining me in standing with and praying for Israel.
