Next year’s election is a big one. The White House, the Senate Majority, and control of the House are all on the ballot.
But in two weeks, there’s another election in Virginia — one that will decide the future of abortion rights in Virginia and set the stage for Democrats in 2024.
The stakes are high. MAGA Republicans are running to take control of the Virginia state government. If they win a majority this election, they’ll be able to institute their agenda without any checks on their power.
Last year, extremists in the Virginia General Assembly were just one vote away from banning abortion. In two weeks, they could get the numbers they need to end reproductive freedom in Virginia once and for all.
The Majority Project is working hard to take back the Democratic majority in the VA House and expand the majority in the VA Senate. They need the resources to get out their message, reach undecided voters, and mobilize their supporters on Election Day.
But they’re up against major Republican spending.
