Regardless of which candidate(s) you support in the dwindling Democratic presidential field, the current flood of headlines is pretty rough for anyone who's not a cisgender white man. Of course a woman can fucking win, but whether it’s erasing her from polls or playing to the electability narrative or the ruthless stereotypes that she’s just too aggressive or not pure enough, women have had it much harder on the road to the White House.
But this is not a rant about inequity or misogyny. It’s an impassioned appeal for us to not settle for the most ‘electable’ option and continue to fight for the candidates who will best represent our values and the whole of who we are.
Octavia Butler warned us…
“Choose your leaders with wisdom and forethought. To be led by a coward is to be controlled by all that coward fears. To be led by a fools is to be led by the opportunists who control the fool. To be led by a their is to offer up your most precious treasures to be stolen. To be led by a liar is to ask to be lied to. To be led by a tyrant is to sell yourself and those your love into slavery.”
We deserve more than mediocrity. Let us be led by our hearts. Let us be led by courage. And, god willing, let us win.

They’re back. 14 years ago, country radio blacklisted the Dixie Chicks for getting political. Now they’re back with a new release [[link removed]] to take on gaslighting. Gaslighting is defined as manipulating someone by psychological means into questioning their sanity. It can happen at work, in relationship and, most definitely, in politics. In a time of rampant disinformation and manipulation, gaslighting is thriving. Especially in the White House. Donald Trump has been gaslighting America [[link removed]] and making us question our reality since he took office. And it’s happening in this election: hearing “can a woman win?” or “is she electable?” over and over and over again by the mainstream media is enough to make one question reality.
But it’s not just at work or in politics, it’s also happening in wellness. While spiritual gaslighting is often an indicator that the person gaslighting you is unable to deal with their own pain and is projecting it onto you, it's also a method of control designed to uphold systems of power and keep everyone in-line. @RiseUpGoodWitch [[link removed]] says "maybe you manifested it, maybe it's white privilege". It's time we tell the difference and reclaim the truth. Here are 15 signs you’re being gaslit [[link removed]] and what you can do about it.
244 days until the 2020 election. Here’s where we are: Biden is leading the pack with 566 delegates followed closely by Sanders with 401. But 77% of delegates are still up for grabs. The upcoming primaries on March 10th (MI, MO, MS, WA, ND, ID) and March 17th (FL, IL, AZ, OH) will bring more clarity and direction to the situation. In the meantime, take a deep breath and don’t count anyone out just yet. Warren (aka “the billionaire slayer”) will play a pivotal role in building progressive power and unity. We’ll be breaking it all down in our Patreon member meet up NEXT THURSDAY at 630pm ET. Each month we are coming together to make sense of the election take action to win.
