Today U.S. House Republicans again made a spectacle out of electing a Speaker of the House instead of joining together to find common ground. The House has been without a Speaker for an unprecedented THREE WEEKS. Enough is enough.

After a near-government shutdown and the ousting of Speaker McCarthy, it’s clear that MAGA extremists are running the Republican party with the goal of making our government as dysfunctional as possible.

Today, just as it looked like Republicans in control of Congress were ready to end the chaos and elect Minnesota’s own Tom Emmer, all it took were a few comments from Donald Trump to sink his candidacy.

With everything going on in the world, now is a time for real leadership that brings people together to solve problems. That’s why I’m in this race and why it’s more important than ever to hold our elected officials accountable.

Our government shouldn’t function like a three ring circus. We deserve better.
