Anti-Semitism Insanity

As I recently noted, we are currently witnessing the worst outbreak of raw, unhinged anti-Semitism in the history of the country.  The savage attack by Hamas against innocent Israelis on October 7th not only resulted in the greatest loss of Jewish life in a single day since the Holocaust, it also unleashed a wave of evil in this country.

All over America, campus vigils to honor the 1,400 murdered Israelis were drowned out by radical students chanting pro-Hamas slogans and repeating calls for a second Holocaust.

Fliers and social media memes went up celebrating the slaughter, while posters of the Israeli hostages were torn down.

A private Jewish high school played a football game in Los Angeles recently.  They endured anti-Semitic slurs and Nazi-salutes from the fans and players of the opposing team throughout the game.

Radical Muslim students are marching through high school campuses chanting calls for Israel’s destruction and the genocide of Jews.

Against this backdrop of hate, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked yesterday about President Biden’s “level of concern” over the rising anti-Semitism in America.  In response, Jean-Pierre condemned Islamophobia instead, saying:

“We have not seen any credible threats [against Jews] . . . Just want to make sure that that’s out there.  But, look, Muslim and those perceived to be Muslim have endured a disproportionate number of hate-fueled attacks.

"And certainly President Biden understands that many of our Muslim, Arab Americans and Palestinian American loved ones and neighbors are worried about the hate being directed at their communities.”

First, she gaslights us and dismisses everything we’re seeing with our own eyes.  Then she tells us the real problem is our Islamophobia.  What on earth is she talking about?!

There are no mobs marching in the streets chanting, “Death to the Muslims!” No mosques have been firebombed.  Muslim students are not hiding in fear on our university campuses.  That’s all happening to Jews!

As I noted last week, the FBI recently released its latest statistics on hate crimes.  Jews are seven times more likely to be the victims of anti-religious hate crimes than Muslims.  That’s why, just a few months ago, the Biden White House released a “national strategy” to combat not Islamophobia, but anti-Semitism!

Karine Jean-Pierre should be fired!  But given her past history as an anti-Israel activist, her remarks are not terribly surprising.

Progressive Anti-Semitism

Many liberal Jews were shocked by the reactions of their so-called “progressive allies” following the October 7th massacre in Israel.  They shouldn’t be.  I have been warning for years that progressive anti-Semitism is a growing problem in America.

To be clear, anti-Semitism is a sin.  It is wrong no matter where it comes from or what motivates it.

That said, there is no “power base” for right-wing anti-Semitism in America.  At most, they only muster a dozen or so supporters at any public rally.

But anti-Zionism has been festering in the faculty lounges of America’s major universities now for decades.  The “diversity, equity and inclusion” racket is a big part of the problem on our college campuses.

At the same time, we have been importing anti-Semitism from all over the world, thanks to our stupid immigration laws and the left’s obsession with “fundamentally transforming America.” (See below.)

Whether it’s the Women’s March, the Black Lives Matter movement or the liberal media, there is a growing tolerance for anti-Semitism on the left.

Meanwhile, the left’s anti-Semitism problem in Congress isn’t isolated to just the loudmouths of the progressive Squad.  The problem is much bigger than that.

Let me remind you that the Congressional Black Caucus (which doesn’t allow Republicans to join) held a private meeting on Capitol Hill with Louis Farrakhan, America’s leading anti-Semite.  Farrakhan is the black equivalent of David Duke.  One of the politicians at that meeting was then-Senator Barack Obama

Speaking of Obama, he just released a lengthy statement on the war in Gaza that is full of moral equivalence.

Evidently, Mr. Obama is deeply concerned that Israel’s response to the brutal slaughter of 1,400 innocent Israelis “could further harden Palestinian attitudes for generations . . . and undermine long-term efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.”

As usual, Obama has it completely backwards.  Hardened Palestinian attitudes and radical Islamic anti-Semitism are undermining peace and stability in the region.

Biden’s Hostage Crisis:  Day 17

As we noted yesterday, Hamas released two more hostages.  Reports suggest there are somewhere between 200 and 220 hostages, including at least 10 Americans, still being held in Gaza.  Don’t forget why they are there.

They were taken back to Gaza by the jihadists who carried out the massacre to be used as human shields and bargaining chips.  Sadly, Joe Biden and elements of the Israeli government are playing right into the terrorists’ hands.

After two hostages were released last week, Biden immediately leaned on Israel to delay the ground invasion of Gaza.  Two more hostages were released yesterday.

Well, two hostages a week will take 100 weeks -- or two years -- before they are all free.  Meanwhile, Hamas is digging in, reinforcing its positions and laying traps everywhere.

Every day Hamas holds hostages is a new war crime.  Yet, there’s no outrage about that.  There are no famous Biden screams or whispers about the hostages.  There’s none of the vitriol he routinely employs against those of us who believe in making America great again.

We Must Get Serious

Donald Trump has vowed to reimpose a travel ban on countries infested with radical Islamism, and to crack down on the criteria for immigrating to America, if he is reelected president.

Both Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis have vowed to deport foreign students from radical Islamic countries who are chanting anti-Semitic calls for genocide on our college campuses and expressing open support for Hamas, a designated terrorist organization.

Their critics, including some university presidents and the White House, attacked the idea as a violation of the freedom of speech

The university presidents are leading institutions that routinely restrict the speech of conservatives and punish students who say things they don’t like.  They issue lists of banned words and Halloween costumes.  That’s a violation of free speech.

Don’t get me started on the Biden White House, which will soon appear before the Supreme Court to explain their efforts to censor Americans on social media who had opinions about COVID and Hunter’s laptop.

This is the same administration that ordered the FBI to target concerned parents exercising their free speech rights at school board meetings as “domestic extremists.”  This is the same administration that has locked up pro-life activists for engaging in sit-ins.  And, of course, this administration is trying to put Trump in jail for saying the 2020 election was rigged.

But when it’s young Muslims on university campuses calling for genocide, they suddenly discover free speech?  What a joke!

The Unity Trap

The Biden Administration and its media allies are calling for bipartisanship and unity at this dangerous time in history.  They don’t really want us to come together.

At the same time, the left is relentlessly pushing its radical social agenda.  Biden is pushing abortion on demand and forcing federal employees and schools to bow to trans supremacy.

They really just want us to shut up.  And they are using the death and destruction in Ukraine and Israel as the club to shut us up, so they can finish the job of transforming America.

Still No Speaker

House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) emerged as the “last man standing” after a series of votes this morning by the GOP House caucus.  The final vote was 117 for Emmer to 97 for Conference Vice Chairman Mike Johnson (R-LA).

Reacting to this news, Donald Trump declared, “Voting for a Globalist RINO like Tom Emmer would be a tragic mistake!”

But faced with solid opposition from Trump and as many as 20 to 30 holdouts who refused back him on the House floor, Emmer ended his bid for the speakership just moments ago.

We will keep you posted.
