Team,
Since our founding, The Fairness Project has been fighting for equitable and unbiased access to ballot measures. We’ve done extensive research on length, language, and endorsements to see how they impact the success of a measure. But we want to hear directly from you about how you interact with ballot measures.
K.I.S.S (Keep It Simple, Silly): When passing ballot measures, simplicity is key. When voters have less information about a measure, they’re more likely to answer “yes” when it’s written in simple, easy-to-understand language. Do you research ballot measures with longer and more complicated language?

Longer Ballots: During election season, choice fatigue is real. Ballots can be extremely long, and studies show 6% of ballot measures would have passed if voters had less choices to make. Do you always complete your longer ballots?

At The Fairness Project, we collaborate with partners nationwide to run winning ballot measure campaigns that directly affect individuals' everyday experiences. Whether it's safeguarding abortion, expanding paid sick leave, or increasing the minimum wage, we want voters to have the most seamless experience at the ballot box, and your responses will help us continue that fight.
So, thank you for your feedback!. Hearing directly from the people is extremely important for fighting for progressive policies through direct democracy. To continue this fight, we need your help, team, will you chip in to help us support progressive policies at the ballot box?
