It was wonderfrul to have seen many of you at this week's Bank On Washington [ [link removed] ] conference in Everett. We took part in so many fantastic conversations around topics, including: Fostering Financial Belonging, Black Homeownership, Immigrants & Refugees, Justice-Involved Individuals, Microenterprise, Youth, Implementing Trauma-Informed Practices Within Financial Services, Partnerships for Well-Being, Small Business Support and so much more!

*FREE Financial Literacy Guest Speaker For Your Class(es)*

The nonprofit financial literacy organization CENTS has an initiative to reach high schools or classes with higher percentages of Hispanic/Latinx students. CENTS can teach from one to eight financial literacy lessons to your class(es), depending on your availability. The financial literacy curriculum contains standard topics, such as budgeting, but also has modules around special subjects, such as student loans. ?

CENTS? financial literacy curriculum was used as the centerpiece to the statewide Student Loan Awareness Month (SLAM) campaign, which was endorsed by a Proclamation from Governor Inslee. The curriculum is comprehensive and is designed for all students whether they are going to college, a trade school, or straight to work after high school.

Creating a budget help ensure that you?ll have enough money for the things you need and the things you want, while still building your savings for future goals. We will explore the 50/30/20 budget plan that is simple and flexible, which makes it a great option for beginners.
