You have probably heard about the Barbie movie. It seemed very popular for left-wing “influencers” to praise the film and right-wing ones to bash it. The reviews were so partisan that I cannot recall a single conservative public figure offering a positive critique of Barbie.
Lucky for you, I’m here to make that case.
Every conservative with a platform who I allowed to speak into my life was adamant that fellow conservatives should *not* watch this movie. I listened. We weren’t going. But then there was this small still voice that I could not escape, that ever so gently kept nudging me to go, to take my daughter and three of her best friends with me. So, I did. A dinner with a movie and some strong deprogramming is how I had expected that evening to go.
Instead, I was moved. I cried. I laughed. I loved it…and then I got really pissed.
This is not *just* about Barbie. We cannot allow ourselves to be this easily manipulated. We are facing a critical moment in this country, and we *need* to do better. That starts with doing some thinking for ourselves.
I always promised to tell you the truth with candor, and here I am again: Don’t be gullible. Think for yourself. Our Republic is being tested every day, and we cannot allow ourselves to simply digest click-baiters’ opinions.
