Thanks to the leadership of President Biden and House Democrats like Lori, we managed to finally take meaningful steps towards regulating firearms last year with the passage of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, the first gun safety package passed in decades .
But team, despite our progress, preventable gun violence continues to bring immeasurable grief to communities across our country. This legislation was only the first step – we must go further to reign in this epidemic.
