For 21 days now, there's been no Speaker in the Republican led House. No
hearings on behalf of our communities. No voting on bills. And no passing
the fully funded budget we need to keep food and formula in folks’
pantries and paychecks for 1.5 million workers. 

That’s a big deal because it's not just about politics—it's about our
rights and our daily lives.

First it was Steve Scalise who called himself “David Duke without the
baggage.” Then, it was Jim Jordan who covered up the sexual abuse of
college athletes he coached while also accusing a 10 year old rape victim
of lying.

Now, they have 9 more candidates lined up to try to take over and their
records are more than just red flags, 7 out of the 9 are January 6
election deniers and not a SINGLE one is a woman. Their anti-democratic
extremism is a siren call for immediate action from folks like you,
John.

* Every single one voted against abortion rights.
* 8 out of 9 stood against same-sex marriage, continuing to deny equal
love it’s rightful recognition.
* 7 out of 9 cast their ballots to overturn the 2020 election results
* All 9 rejected measures to protect the right to birth control, an
essential aspect of healthcare.
* Unanimously, they voted against reauthorizing the Violence Against
Women Act, turning their backs on survivors and those in need of
protection.
* Without exception, they stood against bipartisan gun control efforts,
ignoring the pleas of communities ravaged by gun violence.
* And they all voted against banning wage discrimination based on sex,
continuing the gender pay gap that already plagues our workforce.

These points aren't just statistics—they're a reflection of a mindset that
opposes progress, equality, and justice. These candidates, with their
regressive stances, seek to lead our House of Representatives, and we
cannot sit back and watch while the rights we continue to fight for are
threatened.

We, at Team Summer Lee, are dedicated to protecting these rights and
