We’d love to share good news with you today.

We wish we could tell you that the wars in Gaza and Ukraine are coming to an end, that the climate emergency has been solved, or that the promise of U.S. democracy remains strong in the face of MAGA authoritarianism.

But the world is a dark place right now, and the only path to a better future for our children and the planet is for those of us who believe in compassion, peace, and human rights to come together, get organized, and demand these from our leaders.

That’s why, every day, we report the news that you, the members of the Common Dreams community, need to build power and make change.

But it’s never been harder to survive as an independent news organization. All around us, digital news outlets are cutting back and shutting down, and the only way Common Dreams can survive is with the support of readers like you.
