African Style Worship in Kansas City
On Sunday morning, directly across the street from East High School in Kansas City, you can hear lively worship music coming from the former home of Wesley Heights UMC. Don’t worry if you’re a little late; The worship service will typically last three hours. As you get closer, you’ll realize that it’s not English or Spanish that you’re hearing. It’s Swahili. The new home for Kuomba UMC is connecting with new and second-generation African immigrants in a language and a culture they can understand. Read more here→
