Hi Friend,
Trish's tax relief plan will help working families, and now she is being attacked. Trish has run a positive, issue-based campaign, and her opponent has decided to go negative.

Our state deserves a tax system that works for everyone, not just the wealthy. Virginia's income tax brackets haven't been updated in decades, and the burden of a regressive personal property tax falls heavily on hardworking families. Trish understands the struggles our fellow citizens face, and she is committed to fixing these issues.
Now, Trish's opponent has resorted to attack ads to suggest that she is responsible for taxes going up on Roanoke City Council. That's a Richmond politician blaming the local government for Richmond's failures. In Roanoke City and other Virginia localities, the value of property is going up and local taxes are a percentage of property values. This red herring is to make people think voting for Trish "means higher taxes." But it is her opponent who has been in the Senate for the past 8 years over-taxing working families.
With two weeks left in the election, it's crucial we make sure Trish's tax reforms get to Richmond. Can you give $23 to help her win? [[link removed]] Here's what Trish wants to do in Richmond:

A Fair Income Tax System: Currently, anyone making over $17,000 a year are all in the highest income tax bracket. That means millionaires are paying the same rate as people just barely getting by. In the Virginia Senate, Trish will reform our income tax brackets so the wealthiest among us pay their fair share. This means more resources for essential services, such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure, while reducing the tax burden on our low and middle-income families.
No Car Tax : Seriously, it's time to eliminate the regressive personal property tax, known as the Car Tax, that disproportionately affects low and middle-income families, and is a barrier to participating in the workforce, especially in SWVA. Trish will lead the charge in the Virginia Senate to eliminate the car tax. With a portion of the $5 billion+ budget surplus (your money that was over-taxed), Trish would eliminate the car tax and make localities whole.

But, she can't do it alone. Trish needs your support to take these ideas from the campaign to delivering for working families. Your contribution can make a real difference in the lives of our fellow Virginians, ensuring that our state's future is brighter, more fair, and fiscally sound. [[link removed]]
Together, we can create a tax system that works for all Virginians, regardless of their income or social status. Join me in supporting Trish White-Boyd for State Senate, and let's build a better future for our state, one where everyone has an better opportunity to succeed.
DONATE NOW [[link removed]]
Thank you for your continued support. Together, we can bring about the change our state so desperately needs.
Sincerely,
