John,

Two weeks ago, we told you about Texas Rep. Brad Buckley, who represents the city of Killeen and is Chair of the Texas House Education Committee. Rep. Buckley, more than anyone else in the Texas Legislature, will decide whether “school vouchers” will be adopted statewide.

We called out Rep. Buckley for supporting the privatization of public education, while simultaneously having his family name on the Killeen school district’s football stadium.

And here’s the good news: so far, Buckley is “buckling” on school vouchers.

Help us keep the pressure on Rep. Brad Buckley to stop the privatization of public education. With your donation of $25 or more today, we’ll be organizing public school voters in Buckley’s home turf in Bell County. [[link removed]]

Last week, Buckley introduced a bill on “school vouchers” but Greg Abbott didn’t like it because it increased spending for teachers and other educational programs — a non-starter for many Republicans.

We’re going to keep the pressure on. The voters in Killeen and surrounding areas of Bell County who elected Buckley want to protect their public schools. They also want to preserve high school football and the community culture our schools support.

We won’t let voters forget if Buckley betrays his family name and undermines public education. Please chip in today so Ground Game can hold him accountable! [[link removed]]
