I wanted to pass along my latest update on what I have been doing to fight for you, Texas’ 21st Congressional district, and our country as a whole:
No Speaker, No Recess
House Republicans should not leave Washington again until we have a new Speaker of the House. No more delays. No more breaks. There is too much at stake. The people expect us to fulfill our constitutional duty and get this chamber working again. We must proceed with all possible speed and determination. Intentional and unnecessary delays must end – it only boosts defenders of the status quo to drag this process out. Let’s get a Speaker elected – no more delays.

Standing Up for Religious Liberty
Last week, I met with Finnish ambassador, Mikko Hautala, and Family Research Council’s president, Tony Perkins, to discuss M.P. Räsänen and Bishop Pohjola as they stand trial in Finland for simply living out the Gospel. Räsänen and Pohjola are religious freedom heroes – we stand with you!
Intern on Capitol Hill with Team Roy!
Every semester, our D.C. office welcomes college students to intern with Team Roy to learn about Congress and gain invaluable professional skills. From attending press conferences and committee hearings to researching legislation and helping constituents, our interns are given great opportunities to grow.
