Friend --
I wanted to follow up on my note from Monday night because I'm blown away by the results of the primary yesterday.
1,324,325 Virginians voted in the Democratic Presidential Primary yesterday. That's nearly DOUBLE the votes cast in the 2016 primary. When you folks say you're ready to put in the work to keep the Blue Wave going in the Commonwealth, you aren't kidding.
This record participation proves Virginians are focused on building on the electoral gains of the last few years. But make no mistake: if we don't continue to grow that incredible enthusiasm we could find ourselves short of our goal of winning up and down the ballot here in Virginia. You have my commitment that I will be working every day to protect and expand on the progress we've made in the Commonwealth.
We need to keep building on this momentum through November. And that work starts here, with us. It's time to start making sure our friends and neighbors are registered to vote. ([link removed]) It's time to think about ways to support the candidates and causes we care about -- whether that's through time spent phone or text banking, knocking doors, or making a donation to help flip the Senate in 2020.
Let's get out there and build on this incredible energy!
Thank you for your support.
