Dear Defender,

Right whales are on the brink of disappearing from the North Atlantic – but in
just moments, you can take action to help save them!

These whales are in grave danger: Fewer than 340 right whales remain, with the survivors at risk of being accidentally killed by ship strikes and
entanglements in fishing gear.

Slowing down vessels in waters where right whales are at risk of being struck
and killed will save lives and help give this species a chance at survival.

We need your senators and representatives to support a strong vessel speed rule
to protect right whales from deadly strikes - and that’s where you come in.

I know you care about wildlife. You don’t want whales or other animals to go
extinct! You can make a powerful difference by reaching out to your legislators right
now!

Tell your officials: Support a strong vessel speed rule to save endangered right
whales from being killed by speeding vessels!

The grim reality is that North Atlantic right whales are being accidentally
harmed and killed by human-caused threats like vessel collisions and fishing
gear entanglements.

Right whale deaths are currently exceeding births. Unless we take immediate
action, we could see North Atlantic right whales go extinct within just two decades.
But it’s not too late to turn the tide!

Raise your voice and tell Congress not to condemn right whales to extinction!
Support a strong vessel speed rule that will save lives!
