Dear Friend, 

I can’t believe that this November, it will be five years since our historic victory in 2018 that helped flip the state senate! In the years since then, we’ve passed 81 bills into law, delivered millions of dollars of funding to our community, helped thousands of our neighbors with constituent services, and more. Representing the community I grew up in in Albany has been the honor of a lifetime, and I thank you for your continued support over the years.

Come join me and members of the winning coalition that helped propel us to victory for a community celebration to mark 5 years since you sent me to Albany. Together, we’ll toast to the work we’ve done and lay the groundwork for the work we still have yet finish.

The event will take place from 6-8 pm at Talea Brewing in Cobble Hill at 61 Bergen Street Brooklyn, NY 11201.

Thanks to changes in our campaign finance laws - changes that you sent me to Albany to enact - every donation to our campaign from an in-district resident is now eligible for our new public financing system, which makes it easier for me to keep fighting for you in Albany. 

There is still so much work that needs to be done, next year and beyond — more to do to keep pedestrians safe on our streets; more to do to tackle our housing crisis; more to do to protect children from the harms of social media; more to do to ensure fairer college admissions and enact a New Deal for CUNY - and more.

I can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with you! Thank you for your faith and support in me.
