There are plenty of real issues where we need our government to take action. Like affordable housing. And child care. And climate change.

But instead of getting to work for the American people, Republican House members have spent more than two weeks going back and forth (and back and forth some more) about who should replace Kevin McCarthy as Speaker — with nothing to show for it yet.

They think that creating chaos in our government right now is going to hurt our democracy and help Donald Trump get re-elected.

I’m pushing back against extremist MAGA Republicans to protect our democracy and get our government working for working people. And I’m running for re-election to keep holding them accountable. But I can’t do it alone.
