Hi, my name is David Hogg. I’m a gun safety advocate, co-founder of March For Our Lives, and more recently, the co-founder of Leaders We Deserve – a grassroots organization dedicated to electing young leaders to help defeat the far-right’s agenda and advance a progressive vision for the future.

We launched this campaign and are partnering with the DLGA because, right now, our government does not reflect the diversity of America. For too long, we’ve failed to challenge the status quo. No more.

Together with partners like the DLGA we’re creating the change that is so needed. In fact, Democratic lieutenant governors are the most diverse group of statewide elected officials in the country. Republicans are working overtime to pass anti-LGBTQ+, anti-choice, anti-democracy legislation in state houses across the country. And now they’re sowing chaos in Congress. From narrowly avoiding a government shutdown to the party infighting that’s resulted in gridlock, we deserve better leaders.

We deserve leaders who will fight for common-sense gun legislation, healthcare access, living wages, and more.
