Congressman George Santos, a serial liar and fraudster, stole the identities of his own campaign donors and then used their credit cards to charge tens of thousands of dollars without their consent.1 And thousands of those dollars ended up in his own bank account.2 It's absolutely disgraceful, but not surprising.

And as of Tuesday last week, Santos is facing 10 new felony charges, bringing his total indictments to 23.3 Some of these new indictments include: Conspiracy to commit offenses against the U.S., wire fraud, falsifying records, and aggravated identity theft.4 The fact that Representative Santos is still a member of Congress is completely unacceptable. His constituents deserve better.

Back in May, every single House Republican, in a desperate and misguided attempt to cling to power, disgracefully voted to protect George Santos instead of expelling him from Congress.5 The truth is, MAGA Republicans care more about preserving their razor-thin majority in the House than holding members of their party accountable.
Last week, six Republicans called for his expulsion.6 But that is not enough. We have to keep up the pressure, because the people of New York's 3rd Congressional District deserve better.
