What's really in that Starbucks drink? The truth might scare you

Dear Green American, tell Starbucks to source its cocoa responsibly!

Take Action

Starbucks portrays itself as a company that is “…imbued with love, social conscience and shared success based on shared responsibility.” Yet, the reality is Starbucks is harming its own workers in its retail stores and farmers across the world who supply its cocoa.

Green America and our allies are calling out Starbucks for failing to protect cocoa workers and communities. Since we launched our petition with Mighty Earth and Be Slavery Free back in August, Starbucks responded quickly by putting out an updated commitment to responsible sourcing for their cocoa.

While Starbucks says it is offering cocoa workers and communities a treat, it could be a trick! We need time-bound and tangible commitments that organizations like Green America and others can verify to know whether it's a trick or treat. One thing we know for sure is that consumer action matters. We have sent over 130,000 letters to Starbucks.

Will you help us get to 150,000? Tell Starbucks to Come Clean on Cocoa

Take Action

In solidarity,
