MAGA Rep. Kevin Hern wants to be the next Speaker of the House. **I'm running for Congress in Oklahoma's 1st District to stop MAGAs like Hern from shutting down our government.**



Hern has the MAGA stamp of approval to be House Speaker. His MAGA credentials match those of Rep. Jim Jordan. Both are Trump loyalists and election deniers. Both joined a Supreme Court case calling for votes in GA, MI, PA and WI for President be discarded. Both voted to overturn the 2020 Presidential election results. Both voted NO to impeaching Trump in 2019 and in 2021.



Both Hern and Jordan voted NO on the Bill to avoid a government shutdown, and both voted NO on U.S. military aid to Ukraine. **But Hern took his extremism even further – Hern voted NO to raising the debt ceiling. Hern was okay with America defaulting on its debt, crashing our economy, and triggering a job-killing recession.** Even Jim Jordan couldn’t do that – he voted YES on raising the debt limit.



**What would having Hern as Speaker mean for our country? The same as a Jordan Speakership - more chaos and dysfunction in Congress while a government shutdown looms and wars wage in Ukraine and Israel.** Look at their records – neither Hern nor Jordan have sponsored a single bill that was enacted into law – unless you count Hern’s bill naming a post office. Their goal is not to build but to tear down.



Our campaign supports Democratic bipartisan efforts to bring legislation to the floor regarding funding the government and funding for Ukraine and Israel. **We support a call for traditional Republicans to break from extremism and work with moderate Democrats for a bipartisan solution to the vacant speakership.** But this campaign will not support election deniers, like Hern, who voted against certifying the 2020 Presidential election and who has not acknowledged President Biden as the election winner. This is a baseline requirement for the next Speaker.



**I'm running for Congress because I want a Congress where members support the interests of America and not the party of Trump.** I want a Congress where members running for Speaker stand on a record of bipartisan legislation and not on a pitch consisting of a McGriddles breakfast sandwich and a flyer. I want to move our Country forward and stop Oklahoma's top MAGA politician, Kevin Hern, from using his Congressional seat to sow chaos and dysfunction in Congress by promoting the MAGA agenda.
