JOHN,

Despite being a dyed-in-the-wool grassroots Republican who could win a
popularity contest, the swampsunk Jim Jordan’s shot
<[link removed]>
at becoming speaker of the House.

Why? Because they’re desperate to prove they know better.

Let me be clear: Those of us who voted for much-needed change are ready to
roll up our sleeves and get back to the dadgum work we were sent here to do,
but the swamp monsters want to throw a wrench in the process to make us pay.

Knowing this, we willingly put ourselves on the offering table
<[link removed]>
last week in an attempt to move the needle. But I want to make one thing known…

The eight of us who stood up for what’s right didn’t break anything. How do
you wreck something that’s$33 trillion
<[link removed]>
in debt? All this drama is a tiny blip on the radar if our entire financial
system collapses due to reckless spending. I would dare say no one in
leadership was focused on thatβ€”andthat is why we’re in this situation.

While we stand by our decision, I want to make it known that this is not about
usβ€”and it never was.The actions we took were to change Washington for the
better.Electing a speaker who can get our fiscal insanity in order should be
the top priority.

When all is said and done, we need someone who isn’t a part of the Washington
machine, JOHN. Do you stand by me on this?
<[link removed]>

We’re gearing up for another vote, and there are nine highly capable folks
<[link removed]>
in the running. No matter what happens, my commitment to conservative values
is still rock-solid. I’m a proud Republican, and I’ll keep fighting for what’s
best for our country.

Sincerely,

Tim Burchett
