John, thank you for being there and for always keeping animals in your heart. Before animal lovers like you were there for them, dogs like Fiona and Rascal only knew cruelty and loneliness. They didn’t know what it was like to be treated with kindness, compassion and love.

Before their rescue, Fiona and Rascal were two of 89 dogs found in a dogfighting ring operating across Long Island, New York City and several other states. Due to their extreme fear, they were transferred to the ASPCA Cruelty Recovery Center (CRC) in Columbus, Ohio.

After three months of rehabilitation, they were ready to become beloved pets. They were adopted together just one day before Thanksgiving and, though it took some time, have settled beautifully into their home. Fiona even visits the CRC as a “helper dog” for other fearful pups.
