For the last 2 years, we and our allies have been organizing against Philip Morris International (PMI) and its attempts to legitimize itself in the public health space through its involvement with Canada’s planned COVID-19 vaccine.

Together, we and our allies mobilized hundreds of organizations and thousands of people to demand that the Canadian government sever its ties with PMI. And we succeeded: This past January, it announced that PMI would no longer be included as an investor in this vaccine.

And this year, on World No Tobacco Day, we received an award from the World Health Organization (WHO) recognizing us for this shared victory. We could not be prouder or more thrilled at this outcome!¹

In this moment of joy, we are reminded that our campaign to stop corporate abuse could not have been possible without the collaboration of our allies and the support of people like you, taking action against Big Tobacco with us. Thank you for making all these wins possible!
