Action Team updates

CCL 2020 is still on!

We know many of you have questions about how the spread of COVID-19 may
affect CCL's annual June conference and lobby day. The event is still
on!

We are hoping for the best and are proceeding as normal until we
absolutely know we can't. As the weeks go on, we will all have much more
clarity about how the situation is unfolding domestically and
internationally. We will make the necessary decisions to protect the
health of our supporters, which is paramount.

We still encourage you to register

[link removed]

and plan to join us—Congress needs to hear your voice and your story. If
we ultimately do have to cancel the conference, we will refund 100% of
your conference registration fees. Citizens' Climate cannot reimburse
travel or accommodation expenses, so we recommend that you look up your
hotel's cancellation policy and consider travel insurance for flights or
other transportation.

We knew 2020 would present some big, complicated challenges for our
country and our climate. We hope that the connection you feel, the
training material you learn, and the positive action you take at this
year's conference will bolster you even during uncertain times.

Other news this week:

in Vancouver, Washington, for last weekend's conference and heard from
Executive Director Mark Reynolds, Board Treasurer Valerie Bane and

Give monthly, double your impact year round

With 185,000+ supporters and growing, Citizens' Climate is made up of
ordinary people doing extraordinary work in their communities to advance
national climate solutions. We're committed to showing up, meeting
people where they are, and bringing people together on the urgent issue
of climate change.

Will you help us increase our efforts to activate more volunteers in
2020?

DONATE MONTHLY

[link removed]

This March, our goal is to raise $25,000 in new monthly recurring
donations. When you give monthly, you join a special group of people
that we call Evergreen Donors who are committed to contributing steady
and reliable income to the organization.

And now, your monthly donation will be matched dollar for dollar for the
next 12 months! This means you can double your impact in providing
direct support for on-the-ground activities that strengthen outreach in
key, underrepresented congressional districts.

Matching funds come from a group of our generous Climate Guardian
Donors, who give at the level of $10,000 or more. Both new and existing
monthly Evergreen Donors giving to either Citizens' Climate Lobby or
tax-deductible Citizens' Climate Education will be matched through
February 2021.

Grassroots: Talking to conservatives

CCL's bipartisan approach to climate solutions requires us to reach out
and enroll conservatives in our lobbying efforts. CCL Field Development
Director Elli Sparks and Conservative Fellow Tyler Gillette (pictured on
the left of the photo) held a special event to connect with
conservatives in the Cincinnati area about CCL and the Energy Innovation
Act. Thirty-one people attended, half of them CCL volunteers who were
there to answer guests' questions. Tyler shared about how he got
involved in CCL and what it means to him. Elli facilitated a Q&A about
CCL and the bill. At the end, newcomers connected with CCLers to
exchange phone numbers and stay in touch after the event. Want to do
more outreach with conservatives? CCL has a training on Community

about communicating with conservatives.

CCL volunteers are regularly activating the " five levers

" of political will in their communities. To talk with other CCLers
about their grassroots work and get advice or ideas for your own, head
to the "Grassroots Outreach" forum on CCL Community.
