Please read this email from start to finish. It’s incredibly important.
Last night we saw massive voter turnout in the Democratic primary.
But there’s one deeply concerning problem.
Voters faced extreme barriers while casting their ballots from coast to coast.
-- Texas closed polling places and forced voters to wait more than 5 hours.
-- Long lines plagued polling places in California.
-- Strict voter ID laws turned away Democrats in Virginia.
-- And the list goes on and on.
Make no mistake: this is part of a systematic effort from Republicans to suppress the vote -- especially among people of color.
It’s despicable. It’s wrong. And we’re in for more sickening voter suppression if we don’t take immediate action.
That’s why we’re urgently asking for your $5 before midnight to fund our emergency response to register, educate, and empower Democratic voters before the next election. >>
iVote needs 10,000 grassroots Democrats to step up before midnight to launch our critical new 2020 Voting Project.
There’s never been a more urgent time to protect and expand our right to vote.
With your immediate help, we can:
-- Register thousands of new voters
-- Spread awareness about early voting
-- Make sure voters coast to coast know their rights
-- Turn out a record-breaking number of Democrats in key states
But it all depends on your $5 before midnight. Quickly, will you help us launch our rapid-response 2020 Voting Project and make sure every single vote counts? >>
Thanks,
iVote HQ
