President Biden would have you believe we should be thanking him for forcing Americans off fossil fuel. He has shut down natural gas and oil well leases offshore and in Alaska.
Fact: These actions have driven up what you pay at the pump to get to and from work.
Setting drop dead dates ending internal combustion automobiles sales claiming that we are saving the planet and saving you money.
Fact: Most families cannot afford the much higher purchase price of electric vehicles even when the government picks up part of the cost.
Some claim that these electric vehicles are cheaper to operate.
Fact: This can only be true if someone pays no taxes. In addition to paying a portion of the purchase price, President Biden is bankrupting us with billions and billions of dollars propping up various manufacturers, from automakers to glass panels for solar power; all paid by taxpayer dollars.
Consider the fate of the electric bus company of which the President was bragging. Many missed the news that the company went bankrupt leaving those who bought the buses out to dry. The ski town in Colorado had to junk ten buses because no replacement parts are available.
President Biden, as did Obama, wanted America to lead the effort to save the planet. This led to the Paris Accords at which North America and Europe agreed to new standards much tougher than China. The Chinese were exempted from reductions and were explicitly allowed to increase their pollution for years.
Fact: We have reduced pollution for years. Scrubbers are on our power plants while China is constructing new coal plants monthly with no scrubbers. We now are dependent on natural gas that is even cleaner than the best well-scrubbed coal plants.
Fact: if America and China continue the courses that have been set, heavy steel production cannot be produced here or in Europe. The world will be dependent on China, not good for industry or for our defense.
