Well, we’ve made it through Super Tuesday, and one thing it proved is that for those committed to healthcare as a human right, the US Senate races may be our lifeboats this election year.

Watching the presidential race unfold makes clear that our US Senate race here in Iowa is critically important. No matter who is in the Oval Office, our democracy depends on a strong and ethical Senate that will act in the interests of all people, and enact the forward-thinking and just policies we are all fighting for.

I can’t lie. I’m a little down about the results from last night. But we always knew this was going to be a long, hard fight and the establishment won’t give up easily. We are in this race to bring real and lasting change to Iowa and the country, and it won’t happen in one night, or even one election cycle. That’s why I’m so grateful for your continued support.

We’ve got less than 90 days until the primary election on June 2, so there’s no time to waste in reaching thousands more voters. It will require a lot of campaign materials, paid staff to manage our field game and volunteers, and crucially, access to the Iowa voter database. This database alone costs the campaign $60,000. It’s a lot, but we must press on.

What we do today will decide our fate in this critical election year, so I’m asking you to dig deep to help us stay on track with our March fundraising goals. There is no limit to what we can accomplish if we work together!
