Be on the lookout for scammers during Medicare OEP

Now that Mediare Open Enrollment is in full swing, the scammers are also ramping up. If you receive a cold call from someone claiming to be from Medicare or selling Medicare insurance, hang up! Report the call immediately to SHIBA - either online [ [link removed] ] or call 800-562-6900. Medicare and reputable insurance agents will not cold call you about your Medicare.

As Washington state's Senior Medicare Patrol, SHIBA helps clients prevent, detect and report Medicare and Medicaid fraud and abuse. If you have questions or suspect fraud or abuse, call 800-562-6900 and ask to speak with SHIBA.
