Dear Friend,
Who is the bravest person you know? For me, it's a whole community of people: our nation’s veterans.
Will you join me this Veteran’s Day to honor the men and women who bravely served by sending them a message of appreciation and encouragement? Our staff will deliver your note to a veteran receiving care at one of our VOA centers.
Tony’s return to civilian life was rocky from the start, marred by his untreated depression, until he wound up losing his job and his home.
In the darkest moments of his life, he stumbled on a local Volunteers of America (VOA) center, where he discovered hope in the staff’s compassion, and a second chance to rebuld his life.
With VOA, Tony received mental health support, counseling, and job training. Today, he's a proud homeowner and has a stable job.
Veterans Day is fast approaching, and I know supporters like you care deeply about our military members and their families. With everything they've sacrificed for us and our country, your short note will ensure that they know we're here for them. I hope you'll send your note now!
Gratefully,
Mike King President and CEO, Volunteers of America
Volunteers of America is committed to being there for veterans from cutting-edge peer counseling, to housing support and mental health care. We do what it takes for our country’s military to overcome the barriers that stand between them and long-term stability.
