Last night, the Democratic establishment swept up major victories across the country. Moving forward, they'll toot their horns and spread falsities about our progressive movement. They'll say the country is moderate and that progressivism is a lost cause. 

The reality is in states like Texas, where our fellow Justice Democrat Jessica Cisneros ran (TX-28), Republicans, with the blessing of establishment Democrats, made it extremely difficult for black and brown voters to cast their ballots for progressive candidates by closing hundreds of polling locations. 

If only 1,379 people (1.8%) who voted for Henry Cuellar had instead voted for Jessica Cisneros, she would have won as the youngest elected Congresswoman in American history. 48.2% to 51.8% – it was that close.

Remember every vote matters; every dollar we raise makes a statement. We were extremely close to a progressive upset last night. We can't let this be our destiny in NY-16.

But Jamaal can't do this alone. In order to take on the Democratic establishment, he needs your support. March is the last month before our final FEC filing deadline. The whole country is watching. We can and must show the immense strength of our progressive movement.

1,379 people were all progressives needed in Texas. Let's make sure we win big in NY-16.
