Semi Bird Announces Plan to Create Counter Intelligence Fusion Center When Elected Governor

Washington, October 23, 2023 - Semi Bird, an Army Special Forces Operations and Intelligence veteran with extensive experience in the Middle East, denounced the recent attacks on Israel and announces plan to create a Counterintelligence Fusion Center to address the threat of terror attacks in Washington State. As a highly experienced figure in the realm of national security, Bird has drawn attention to the critical need for heightened security measures in Washington State.

Bird's military service history is marked by multiple deployments to the Middle East, particularly on the Sinai Peninsula, where he served as a Sniper Team Leader. During his deployment, he gained a firsthand understanding of the regions dynamics, to include weapons smuggling to terrorists organizations such as Hamas and the Islamic Jihad. Drawing from this experience, Bird has advocated for increased pressure on Iran, a known state sponsor of terrorism, and an escalated commitment to fortifying the U.S. homeland and supporting Israel, even going as far as proposing the deployment of Special Operations Forces.

"In the face of recent Middle Eastern turmoil, it is crucial to recognize the potential national security vulnerabilities that exist within our own borders," Bird remarked. He further highlighted the pressing need to address the geographical susceptibility of Washington State, stressing the potential threats posed by poor border security and multiple access points to include an international port to the Asia-Pacific, another region in which Bird has deployed to and worked as a leader in intelligence operations.

Bird's concerns extend beyond the focus on global security threats in the Middle East, emphasizing the urgent need to fortify both the northern and southern borders to safeguard against state-sponsored special interest aliens and potential terrorist infiltrations. To date, 172 individuals listed on the FBI terror watch list have been apprehended at the Southern border.

In acknowledgment of his expertise and commitment to national security, Bird has received an invitation to visit the U.S./Mexico border for a comprehensive briefing and update on border security measures.

"As Governor of Washington state," Bird declared, "I will prioritize the establishment of a Joint Counterintelligence Fusion Center with a specific focus on mitigating the national security threats that pose an imminent danger to the citizens of Washington state."
