What does it mean to be “Ace”?
Asexuality is characterized by a lack of sexual attraction to others. Those who identify as Ace may have little to no interest in engaging in sexual activities, even though they may desire emotionally intimate relationships. It is important to note that asexuality is not synonymous with sexual repression, aversion, or dysfunction. Those who are Ace, regardless of their gender, age, or background, seek friendship, understanding, and emotional connections.
How can you support the Ace community?
The Ace community is an important part of the LGBTQ community. It’s important to remember that love does not mean sexual intimacy. We have various resources and guides ([link removed]) to help you learn more about the Ace community. Whether you identify as Ace or stand as an ally, spreading awareness serves as a powerful way to demonstrate support and amplify the voices of Ace young people around the world.
