Small Business Roundtable: Tips for Managing Your Remote Work Employees

Wednesday, October 25 | 12:00-1:00 p.m. | Virtual

This month's roundtable on Tips for Managing Your Remote Work Employees will be presented by R. Doug Taylor, Shareholder at Bean, Kinney & Korman P.C..

According to most public health indicators, the COVID-19 pandemic is behind us. Remote work, a by-product of the pandemic, is here to stay. Employers who allow workers the flexibility of teleworking still have continuing obligations to comply with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Join Bean, Kinney & Korman Shareholder R. Doug Taylor for an engaging discussion of the latest legal developments and best practices for managing your workers in a remote work environment, including:

  • Which state’s laws apply to your remote workers?
  • Should you have written remote work policies? The ‘who, what, when, where, and how’ of managing your employees who are working remotely
  • Managing employee performance, expectations, and communications in a remote work environment

This event is free for members.

The State of Real Estate

Friday, November 3 | 8:00-10:00 a.m. | Monday Properties

Arlington County has experienced unprecedented significant growth in the past few years, as top companies have chosen Arlington as their regional or in some instances global headquarters. At the same time, the real estate market is facing serious challenges, as office and retail vacancies continue. This has brought into question the viability and future of real estate in Arlington.

Building off the success of last year’s Why Arlington event, the Arlington Chamber of Commerce is proud to present a panel on The State of Real Estate to hear from top leaders about their perspectives on the future of commercial, retail, and multi-family residential real estate in Arlington.
