You know what’s spooky? The world is nearly out of time to preserve our chance of a livable future, not just for ourselves but for the next generations.
Now is the moment we must demand a halt to all new fossil fuel development and ramp up the transition to clean, renewable energy.
The Future Generations Protection Act, could snap the country out of its fossil fuel nightmare. It would ban greenhouse gas emissions from all new power plants, ban fracking, and ban crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids exports. It’s the critical step we need to ensure a livable climate future.
We need to put an end to the fossil fuel industry’s “business as usual” old tricks – and no treats! – for our energy needs. Our reliance on fracking and fossil fuels is destroying our planet. With global temperatures rising, we will continue to see more extreme weather disasters, droughts, heatwaves, and wildfires. What a frackin’ nightmare!
This is why our work to protect our water and climate from the frightful recklessness of the fossil fuel industry and ban fracking is more critical than ever. It’s time to push for the solutions we need to fight climate change, like the Future Generations Protection Act. This is the essential and urgent climate action we need NOW.
