There aren’t many issues in our politically polarized environment where Democratic and Republican policymakers can find common ground. On most issues, the lines are clearly drawn. Occupational licensing reform offers an exception.
It’s an issue on which the Obama and Trump administrations agree. Governors and legislators in states red, blue and purple have worked together to remove licensing hurdles that create barriers to work and success.
Colorado, a predominantly blue state in recent years, has been a leader in this area. Please join us for a discussion of bipartisan licensing reform with Patty Salazar, Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, and Iris Hentze, Policy Specialist at the National Conference of State Legislatures.
