America must give Israel the time, resources, and diplomatic support it needs to protect its families and drive Hamas out of Gaza.
Ten senators are in Israel today on a bipartisan delegation meeting with elected leaders and the families and friends of those killed or kidnapped by Hamas. We thank Senators Lindsey Graham, Ben Cardin, John Thune, Jack Reed, Susan Collins, Chris Coons, Dan Sullivan, Richard Blumenthal, Katie Britt, and Cory Booker for visiting Israel and supporting our ally.
"Not just Israel has changed, but the world has changed," said Senator Booker. "There can be no moral equivocating. We stand with Israel against a terrorist organization unleashing hate."
Senator Graham commented, "I have never seen anything like this in my lifetime. How does this end? Israel thrives. They survive. Hamas is destroyed. The Palestinian people have a better life."
Graham continued, "So we’re here today to give Israel what they need to do the job of destroying the modern-day version of Nazis, Hamas."
This week, the Senate will begin considering a massive and unprecedented emergency assistance package announced by President Biden on Thursday.
Congress must expeditiously pass the president’s aid request for Israel.

Israel did not seek this war, but it will win it. Israeli Defense Minister Gallant said today that it may take the IDF months to complete its mission of destroying Hamas’ military capabilities and its ability to govern Gaza.
Hamas is responsible for the death and destruction it brought onto Gaza with its unprovoked terror attack on Israel.
This war will be extremely complex. Hamas has spent years turning Gaza into a terror fortress with an extensive network of hundreds of miles of underground tunnels.
Israel once again dropped leaflets over northern Gaza urging residents to evacuate ahead of a prospective ground operation into the territory.
The terror group despicably uses innocent Palestinians as human shields and civilian infrastructure to hide and protect its network of tunnels and weapons.
May God protect the brave soldiers of the IDF, provide comfort to the people of Israel, and safeguard those kidnapped by Hamas.
