José Garza has reached a runoff in the District Attorney election in Travis County, Texas. (That’s Austin!) José earned the most votes in last night’s election, forcing a runoff with the incumbent, Margaret Moore.
The runoff election is on May 26th and that means we have just over two months to do everything we can to make sure that José wins this runoff election.

This race is absolutely critical. Texas is a battleground state for justice reform and by electing José we can make a huge difference in Travis County.
Texas is ground zero for mass incarceration. But it can also be ground zero for change. If we can elect real reformers in Austin, Texas, it’ll send ripples across the nation – paving the way for more victories and leading to fewer people in jail and more lives spared.
