John, this is disgraceful and disappointing for all of us.

An investigation by The Intercept reveals the full extent of the behavior that our campaign has been shining a light on: our opponent, Rep. Joyce Beatty, profiting off of our community’s problems.

Rep. Beatty stood by silently while a developer built luxury condos in downtown Columbus without any affordable housing requirements, “despite an estimated shortage of 35,625 low-income rental units .” Why? Because Rep. Beatty’s husband, Otto, made an inflated profit off that deal.

This is what corruption looks like — establishment politicians lining their pockets and putting the public’s needs behind those of developers and special interests — and it’s why we need Morgan to win on March 17.
