On Thursday, House Budget Chair Jodey Arrington took a break from voting for Jim Jordan for Speaker to hold a hearing pushing his latest idea: A commission to drag Social Security and Medicare behind closed doors and cut them, while keeping his millionaire and billionaire donors from paying a dime more in taxes.
I went to the hearing, and I tried to talk to Chairman Arrington about his position, but I guess I got under his skin:
