John,
Attacks on voting rights are unacceptable, but they are happening in Virginia, and we must continue pushing legislation to protect the right to vote – in Virginia and across the country. That’s why I co-sponsored the Voting Rights Advancement Act, but unfortunately, many of my far-right colleagues have blocked efforts to defend this fundamental right.
As a result, Virginia's elected officials can unilaterally manipulate voting accessibility for political convenience. This month, Virginia election officials purged voter rolls.
Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin has been tight-lipped about the number of Virginians removed from the voting rolls by his Department of Elections. This lack of transparency is concerning, especially considering these voter purges occurred weeks before a pivotal election that could secure total Republican control in Virginia.
We must elect officials who will protect the right to vote. I hope you will join my team and me in our efforts to strengthen our democracy. A contribution of any amount will give my campaign the resources to advocate for voting rights across Virginia.
