Hi, John!

Super Tuesday is over, and one thing is clear: Latinxs just changed the shape of the presidential race.

With more voters of color making their voices heard in diverse states across the country yesterday, the field of candidates drastically narrowed and ended up with two clear Democratic frontrunners: Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders.

Young Latinxs made especially big differences in Texas, California, Nevada, and Virginia, where we saw a 57% increase in ballots cast in precincts with the highest Latinx populations.

And Voto Latino is helping make it happen. I was in Houston, Texas with other members of the VL team handing out free tacos and talking to voters leaving the polls, and with your support, we gave out 500 tacos to voters waiting in line to cast their ballots.

Not only that, but VL partnered with Lyft to give thousands of rides to the polls in fourteen Super Tuesday states, helping prevent voters from staying home just because they didn’t have an accessible way to get to the ballot box.

Yesterday proves that our work to register and mobilize Latinx voters -- the second-largest voting bloc in 2020 -- is WORKING, and it’s all fueled by you. With that in mind, we’ve got more primary elections to go and more voters to activate. Will you help us by pitching in $10 or whatever you can afford today?

Together, we’re making sure that the Latinx community is heard loud and clear this year, and we’re just getting started.
