Team, the Supreme Court announced earlier this week that they would consider a case challenging the Affordable Care Act (known to many as Obamacare).

This represents yet another attempt, led by Republicans, to undermine President Obama's signature health care law. The Affordable Care Act has expanded coverage to millions of Americans.

There's a lot at stake in this case. If the conservative-leaning Supreme Court strikes down Obamacare, the impact would be devastating on those who've come to rely upon the law as an affordable means to access coverage. The Court's eventual ruling could even result in the end of protections for those with pre-existing conditions.

President Obama deserves a lot of credit for his leadership in getting this landmark legislation passed into law. Years after he left office, Republicans are still trying to take away his legacy-defining accomplishment -- without any regard for the people it helps.

Make no mistake about it, there's still more work to do to expand access to health care. But, if the Supreme Court were to invalidate Obamacare, that would be a major step backwards and put many of the most vulnerable Americans in harm's way.
