John: I’m an Orthodox Jew who has been living in Israel for 20 years and I’ve never seen anything like this war. My family and I live 40 miles East of Jerusalem where Hamas rockets have flown overhead and nearby. We’ve been forced to spend many hours in a bomb shelter over the course of several days, and we are thankful for Israel’s famous Iron Dome. Members of my family are serving in the Israel Defense Forces and were called to duty on the first day. Israel’s economy has been destroyed and our roads are empty. Many are now unemployed as the war has crushed our economy. The threat against Israel is so severe that almost everyone has a friend or family member serving in the military or local security forces and the rest of us are trying to help our small nation survive.
My team and I have partnered with other organizations to increase our impact to support soldiers who are lacking body armor and other supplies, and we need support from individuals like you who love Israel and want to protect her. Will you donate to our Israel Emergency Fund TODAY?
We have helped at-risk youth, young adults, families with children, and even elderly Holocaust survivors. All of them are now survivors of the atrocities in towns where people were kidnapped, and entire families killed. Towns like Sderot are now ghost towns. Israelis from these areas have no choice but to flee their homes as a result of the attacks and upcoming ground invasion that may continue to put the war at their front doors. Will you continue to support our efforts to comfort Israeli refugees today?
We have already relocated families from the South to Jerusalem and elsewhere. But their needs will continue as this war rages on.
