John,

As early voting kicks off this Monday, in just two short days, I wanted to touch base with you directly. As I sit down to write this, I'm reflecting on the countless conversations I've had with many of you. From meet and greets to backyard chats to time spent on front porches, the spirit and determination of District G have never been clearer.

This campaign has never been about me; it's about us. It's about the dreams we have for our district, the challenges we face, and the collective hope that drives us forward. I've always believed that real change comes from the ground up, and that's why I've been so committed to listening, learning, and advocating for every single resident.

I’m running for City Council because I believe our leadership should reflect that spirit and determination. And, plainly, that’s just not the case when you look at our current member of council. District G is ready for change, and we can make it happen together.

Here’s what I’ve heard and what I’m going to do about it.

Crime in our district is still a major issue, and it's time our leaders did more than just talk about it. I've laid out a multi-point plan to tackle this surge. We need more police presence in high-risk areas, stricter enforcement of minor violations to deter criminals, and a commitment to take repeat offenders off our streets.

On the financial front, while my opponent has voted to increase property taxes multiple times and even supported a budget beyond our means, I pledge to fight to lower our property taxes. I'm all about fiscal responsibility, ensuring we keep more of our hard-earned money. And when it comes to our infrastructure, our streets need attention, and flood mitigation is a must. In contrast, my opponent barely spoke up during a critical three-hour city budget meeting. We need someone who's actively fighting for our district's needs, not staying silent.

I know you may still be making up your mind about who to vote for. I hope you’ll review my website [[link removed]] as you gather information. When you head over, here's what awaits you:

By now, I hope you know I believe in speaking directly and straightforwardly.

Beyond the logistics and the endorsements, I want to talk about the heart of the matter in this campaign.

District G is more than just a place on the map. It's our home. It's where we've built our lives, raised our families, and shared countless memories. Sadly, we're being failed by our current representative on city council, who votes to raise our taxes while failing to speak up for our priorities.

Now, more than ever, we have a chance to shape the future of District G. I'm asking for your trust, your support, and your vote to get the job done. Let's champion the values we hold dear, fight for the community we love, and ensure that District G gets the representation it deserves.

See you at the polls,

Tony

P.S. Will you take a moment to forward this email to your friends and family who need more information before they head to the polls? Hearing from someone we trust about the issues that matter and where the candidates stand can make all the difference. Every vote matters!
