The past weeks have been devastating for all those seeking a lasting peace and respect for human rights in Israel and Palestine.
We must build on our common humanity and focus on protecting innocent, civilian lives at stake.
A new poll conducted by Data for Progress this week has found that 80% of Democrats, and 66% of Americans overall, support a ceasefire and de-escalation to prevent further violence and civilian deaths.1
The Ceasefire NOW Resolution would also allow for the entry of humanitarian assistance into Gaza, where over two million Palestinians — half of which are children — have had no access to food, water, or humanitarian aid for over a week.
We cannot allow further atrocity. We must end this humanitarian crisis.
