On October 14, the Pacific Research Institute held its 2023 Sir Antony Fisher Gala Dinner at the Four Seasons Silicon Valley.

We were delighted to host renowned historian and academic Niall Ferguson as this year’s keynote speaker. Ferguson, the Milbank Family Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, offered his unique insights on the threats to freedom and free expression in the U.S. and around the world.

Peter Robinson, the Murdoch Distinguished Policy Fellow at Hoover, led a wide-ranging discussion and fielded questions from attendees. The two discussed the current sociopolitical challenges facing our nation, the Israel-Hamas war, and how all of us can play a role in advocating for liberty.

We were pleased to have so many friends and supporters join us for this year’s dinner. We were especially delighted to present PRI’s 2023 Taube Family Freedom Prize to the Honorable Daniel Kolkey, PRI board member and former Associate Justice on the California Court of Appeal, for his tireless work advancing the values of liberty and limited government. The award was presented by former California Governor Pete Wilson, who paid tribute to Kolkey in a special video message.
We are incredibly grateful to those who joined and supported our Sir Antony Fisher Gala Dinner. At PRI, we are committed to halting the undermining of freedom and opportunity that legislators in Washington and throughout the country propose through excessive regulations, higher taxes, and new and expanded government programs. As the policy debates heat up around the 2024 election, our team will continue to identify opportunities to make big gains for freedom in education, energy, health care, the economy, and other key policy areas.

We hope to see you at a PRI event in the near future.
